Tunnel View is one of the only areas in the park where you can see every prominent peak in one view. This viewpoint is basically just a small parking lot off to the left after the long tunnel that leads in and out of the western entrance into the valley. The view truly is surreal especially on your first visit to the park. The lengthy tunnel conceals most of the parks beauty until one of the best views of the park is revealed at the end.
The real downside to tunnel view is that it is INSANELY crowded at all times of the day and year. We're gonna let you in on a little tip tho, but please be respectful and keep this spot discreet as this spot cant support the large crowds. That being said, if you walk to the back right corner of the parking lot and then scale the cliffs up another 500ft, you will find a great little cliff ledge where you can get an unobstructed view straight down the valley, and also find a little bit of privacy. For some reason every time we head up there, no one follows or wonders what we are doing. But as is with everything else in Yosemite, early bird gets the worm. Sunrise is pretty incredible there so in most cases
