Horseshoe Bend is one of the most dramatic views of the Colorado River and is conveniently located right next to Antelope Canyon. Unfortunately, the viewpoint is no longer free and visitors must pay $10 to park and is consequently more regulated than before. Nevertheless, Horseshoe Bend has always been heavily trafficked and like most other places is best enjoyed in the morning before most people want to wake up. However, you can always count on most visitors to not venture off the beaten path. Some of the best views are found off to the right and left of the main viewpoint.

If you're not afraid of a little crowd, then go for sunrise. Most of the year, the sun sets behind Horseshoe Bend. With the right cloud coverage, you can get some epic sunsets.
