Crescent Meadow Road winds through the Sequoia National Park forest right off of Generals Highway. There are a ton of cool things to see along this road, almost like a natural museum. This is definitely the coolest part of sequoia and if you have a limited amount of time, this should be the first on your list. At the right time of year, you can drive through this section of sequoia, other times you will need to walk. There are the more touristy spots where you can drive through a hole cut out of a fallen down tree or and old tree that people used to drive on top of (now only walkable). But the coolest views are off the road where you can find caverns in the trees, and fallen over trees with fully exposed root systems.
Bottom line, you can make this road/trail more interesting the more open you are to wandering around.
