Bearizona is one of the more interesting drive through wildlife parks in America. It's not the biggest or nicest park, but the animals in the drive through area are way cooler than any other of the petting zoo animals you'll find at many other safari parks. The real draw are the bears and wolves. May sound sketchy to some, but these guys (particularly the bears) are super lazy and just mosey around at 1 mph. This makes the whole experience feel a little less wild, but it's still pretty sweet seeing an apex predator right outside your car door.

The walkthrough park is also more impressive than expected. The animals are all fairly active and their enclosures are designed in a way that allows you to get much closer to the animals than most other zoos. The highlights of their walkthrough area include black bears, foxes, bobcats, and jaguars.

The drive through is pretty narrow meaning that going during crowded times of day/year turns the place into a bumper to bumper traffic jam. We recommend going as close to opening as possible. Animals are also usually more active in the morning allowing for the best interactions.
